This afternoon, my mother-in-law found (and promptly pulled, at my request) two white hairs on my head. Not “maybe they are just really blonde” hairs. White-as-the-driven-snow hairs. WIRY, white hairs.
Apparently, a second child was all that was required to begin the graying process. My friend tells me it’s time to start dying, pronto. I hope to remain at a pluckable number for a while yet. If not, I suppose I will have to cave and break out the dye. Or see a professional, as the recent debacle with Corin’s haircut has taught me may be the wiser route.
But still… So worth it!
Gray, white, and silver hairs? No problem. Think of them as stress highlights. I wear mine proudly. lol
Or, you could just leave them and wear them as a badge of motherhood… I’ve had several friends warn me to stay off the color train – it never ends.
I love that she’s playing with your hair in this picture!
She has a grip, this one. She was asleep and still had a hold on that piece of hair!
My first year of teaching started me on the greying process. I still just pluck them when I find them.
I found my first gray hairs a few months after my second was born, too… and I bawled my eyes out! I agree with going the professional hair-coloring route. Plus, it’s a great excuse to reserve a couple of hours every 6 weeks for you-time 🙂
